Assistant Professor of International Law and the Director, Lodz Cyber Hub Research Center

Joanna Kulesza is an Assistant Professor of International Law and the Director of the Lodz Cyber Hub research center at the University of Lodz Law School, host of the Summer School on Internet Governance and International Law (SSIGIL). She was a member of the Scientific Committee of the European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights and is currently participating in the UN Committee to develop a comprehensive international convention on counteracting the use of information and communication technologies for criminal purposes.

She served as the Vice-Chair for the At-Large Advisory Committee within the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN). Kulesza is also an expert in the European-Chinese working group on the application of international law in cyberspace (EEC-IL) and the Sino-European Cyber Dialogue (SECD). She chaired the Membership Committee of the Global Academic Network for Internet Governance (GigaNet) and the Advisory Board of the Global Forum on Cyber Expertise (GFCE).
