DYNACON WORKSHOPS

Real reasons for the loss of operational continuity in OT domain systems – monitoring and response

On the first day of CYBERSEC CEE EXPO & FORUM, we invite you to workshops organized by DYNACON, a key company protecting important Critical Infrastructure in Poland. Workshops with elements of competition are conducted in Polish. For participants, it will be an excellent opportunity to acquire new knowledge directly from industry experts and to use and apply their own skills in practice.

It will also be an invitation to further acquire knowledge and competences, because DYNACON has prepared great prizes for the winning team – A PROFESSIONAL COURSE AND THE POSSIBILITY OF OBTAINING A CERTIFICATE in a selected topic: NCSA Cyber Security Incident Handler or NCSA Industrial Defense Assiociate.

Training and certification take place as part of:

CSG ACADEMY

The mission of the CSG Academy team is to spread technological knowledge and educate specialists. Instructors transfer knowledge and practical skills at all levels of digital communication technology and cybersecurity, data security, data processing processes and systems, solution design, diagnostics and analytics and other technological areas.

NCSA

The NCSA agency is responsible for increasing the cyber resilience of important and critical national structures through SOC (Security Operations Center) activities, analytical, investigative, implementation, training, examination and certification activities.

Workshop programme:

  • During the workshops, Andrzej Cieślak – founder and president of DYNACON, will talk about key issues related to the security of OT domain systems, focusing on building the entire monitoring ecosystem, connecting data sources, data analysis, identifying threats to business continuity and preparing and monitoring response activities for environments industrial (OT).
  • Participants will be divided into two groups and will use a practical example of industrial infrastructure to work out issues related to the occurrence of anomalies.
  • Because effective security requires not only responding to threats, but also understanding the process of their creation, participants will experience the full life cycle of anomalies:
    • With the first group, we will focus on possible scenarios of the creation and introduction of anomalies in industrial infrastructure, acting as an anomaly source generator whose aim is to disrupt the continuity of operation of OT systems.
    • In a parallel group, we will take care of methods for effectively detecting anomalies and reacting to them, so as to minimize the consequences of their occurrence.
  • The finale of the workshop will be a joint discussion on the collected experience and an attempt to introduce recommendations regarding courses of action, principles of building OT network architecture, selection of communication solutions, data probes, data extraction, selection of tools and process solutions in OT domain systems, in order to constantly improve security business continuity in industry.
  • DYNACON experts will encourage participants to practically use their existing knowledge in an environment close to the real one, and supplement it on an ongoing basis by sharing their knowledge, experience and showing the latest directions of action.
  • Hardware requirements (recommended): own laptop, Linux operating system, with the ability to connect to a “WiFi” or Ethernet network.

Join us on June 19th and become part of the industry community, learn about tools, and expand your network of contacts.

The workshops are free of charge and available only to those who have a ticket to CYBERSEC CEE EXPO & FORUM.
